Mosaico continues on its path in search of maximum energy efficiency. A recent achievement has been the modernization of the two main machines of Toscolano co-generation plant: two newly built machines have replaced one of the two gas turbines and the steam turbine.
The integration of the two machines into the existing context has been quite complex due to the logistical characteristics of the plant, perched over Lake Garda and with high standards of environmental and landscape impact.
The new turbo-groups were installed in the same position as the previous ones, without any further occupation of land nor creation of new spaces, thanks to a particularly complex engineering and assembly action.
The Toscolano plant, already compliant to the High Efficiency Co-generation requirement, further increases its performance while reducing the total CO2 emissions of almost 2,000 tonnes/year.
